Geek Media Expo
A spinoff of MTAC for the regular geeking that was held early this month. It was a nice, relaxing con-going. Yeah, I said relaxing. Though still a lot a people, there were far less attendees compared to MTAC being the first GMX & all, not to mention not as many panels and/or cosplay photoshoots to go to. Two of my favorite panels that I went to were the ones for the Nostalgia Critic & the G.I. Joe PSAs. The Nostalgia Critic panel was especially funny at the end where he did a skit he recorded for his Casper review.

World Hetalia Day
I could care less about it being planned to go with "United Nations Day", for me, I'm just glad it was cosplay gatherings all over the world & that there was one in Nashville. Had a fun time, just didn't want to leave though. (I should find the other fellow cosplayers' LJ accounts & friend them.)

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Got myself a copy of it at GMX & I can't stop playing it. My main reason for constantly playing it was to get as far as I can before the Hetalia meet in-case there was anyone who wanted to play multiplayer with me on it. That didn't happen, but now I plan on finishing it to get through the story so I won't be spoiled nor have to avoid reading any discussions on it. The game itself is very fun & enjoyable; great for portable.

Now what am I going to do this Halloween night? Easy, sleep. Need to get as much as I can for my CoP static tomorrow noon where we go through Promyvion - Vahzl. That dimensional area will be mine!... in about 4 - 6 weeks.

Eh, I just don't really feel like posting entries these days.

•Got my set of Hetalia One Coin Figures last Thursday. The figures are all placed on my dad's desk where they'll reside for now. He finds them cute.

•Also got 2 Rockman EXE books; Rockman EXE no subete & Rockman EXE no himitsu, with my order of Hetalia figures. Sadly, I can't read Japanese aside from some katakana which is a shame since it looks like there's tons of delicious info in subete. Despite that, I did manage to learn some things from it like the name of Nation Z (I always wondered if it was Nation X or Nation Z in the JP version.), the Blues that green eyes if we go by the prototype designs, & character heights. (Blues & Gutsman are shorter than I expected. Netto's mom is taller than both of them.)

•Went to a town hall meeting on Monday evening with my parents. Was quite civil, so next time if we ever go to one, it'll have to have some idiot who thinks this socialized health care is a good thing; it's not, it never worked well in any country that uses it. I mean, would want to be forced to wait months in order to get your cancer down/removed?

•Moved Roukuke from Odin to join Lchan on Shiva this morning. I haven't been active much over on Odin for the past few months other than checking on my chocobo nor have I been in any linkshells with a lot of members. I figured why not just have her be in the same server with my main character who has friends & busy linkshells? It will also help on inventory & gil. For the past week, I've been buying as many bargains as I can get there & I've done well, until I accidently spent all my gil on a nice level 30 Ninja katana, thus moved to get away with that disappointment & start again. Here's what I managed to get from all the buying:

•Junrenshi Habaki = 5,000 gil (Shiva - 30,000)
•Wulong Shoes = 30,000 gil (Shiva - 60,000)
•Hauberk = 100,000 gil (Shiva - 150,000)

That's pretty much it for the past week & a half. Tomorrow, I'm going to a Hetalia cosplay picnic at Nashville Centennial Park so I can't wait to attend that, especially after the fact that I & only 2 other people cosplayed as Hetalia characters at this year's MTAC.

Since I haven't posted anything in my LJ for quite a while, I might as well type up something.

Guys, I just got a random realization. There needs to be material of Kristoph Gavin x Ivan Braginsky. I don't care who tops, they could just be in a fight where one out sadist the other. Kristoph would totally drink up Ivan's "borscht", amirite? (I don't know if anyone would bother with such a thing in either kink meme. There's not much on crossovers in the Hetalia one except for a couple with Bandit Keith.)

You know how in Hetalia that Spain talks about nice bananas? Well in my dreams, Spain IS banana! Recently, along with that, I've been having various mixes of Hetalia & FFXI dreams.

Who in the world would exactly use a smut Sweden/America fart fetish fanart as a bathroom stall doorknob hanger? Well, it's just further proof of how random my dreams can get. Personally, I know I wouldn't because I find that stuff a disgusting turn-off. (How much you wanna bet some sicko might request that in the kink meme?)

Apparently in Hetalia episode 18, the nations are in a FFXI tea party (Not the "Taxed Enough Already" TEA Parties or the Boston Tea Party, those are awesome. I mean kind with the drink.). Many of them dressed as Red Mages, including Belgium who dressed as a Tarutaru Red Mage with the Shantotto hair & all. There might've been something with America dressed as a Beastmaster, but I barely remember who was there not as a Red Mage.

In the same dream I just had earlier about the banana!Spain, later on, I was in FFXI as my character Lchan doing a storyline quest involving my NPC fellow in one of the ToAU/WotG areas, only it wasn't my Galka fellow Dzapiwa, my NPC was a male Elvaan who had a thing for me. I finished through the quests there & what was my reward? A little figurine of some mix between an Amiga Cactus & a Cactuar. My NPC, who gave it to me, said it's a gift of love. Me? I exactly have no clue what to do with it.

Went from PLD 10 - 16 in the span of 5 hours. Truly a great night in FFXI for me.

Also, change of plans in my cosplays for this year's MTAC. I'm dumping Neku for [North] Italy. Be a lot easier to make, seeing as I need no wig for Italy. But I bet some of you are like, Locke, you haven't even finished your first cosplay, don't go changing ideas all over the place. It's true I haven't finished my Netto cosplay yet, but it's going well. The shorts are done, & the vest will probably be too by sometime this week. All that's left is to make the bandanna, fix the shirt, & paint the shoes & iPod cover, which I need to dig out.

The entry title is referring to the fact that they did a buffalo event a few months before the Year of the Ox New Year's.

Regarding the yearly New Year fortune, well... there isn't much of one. Not to mention the new part of the event is just a new NPC in Jeuno that sells dairy & the new furniture item. There's also something about cork caps from each of the three nations that also gives the new item, but that's more of a waste.

If you're wondering, the fortune for everyone is that the Ranchers hope that your year will brim over with happiness for and your kin.

I happened to come across a POL-sanctioned wedding while doing the Christmas event quests.

Okay, after fighting though the crap system known as AIM, I had to get a new account. No longer will I be able to use LockeMuhe there sadly, my new AIM screename is Roukuke. Reply with yours if you want me to add you again.

Speaking of Roukuke, I had a good Garlaige run last night. Sacrificed my coffer to a PLD I was helping that needed it more, soloed my key for the crematory, & defeated Old Two-Wings with PT I was helping before they disbanded. Have yet to get my coffer though, but am working on it.

Also, to those reading this & may or may not reply with their AIM screename, I need a little advice. For next year's Middle Tennessee Anime Convention, I plan on going as Netto Hikari, but along with that, I'm also thinking of cosplaying a World Ends With You character as well while I'm there (Mostly while there's still a TWEWY high in fandom.). The problem is, which? I'm stuck between Joshua & Neku. Neku would require more wig & prop work, but I think I might have an easier time getting into his character than Josh, not to mention, there are times when I do want to cosplay a "mage" character, especially for random battles. Which do you think I should take? Joshua? Neku? Some other TWEWY character?

Yep, today marks the 5th Anniversary of the day when I started playing FFXI. From a lowly Windurstian Thief to a world-traveling level 75 White Mage in Shiva & branching out to a San d'Orian Monk in Odin who has recently reached level 50. Can't believe I've been on this game for that long & compared to several other players, I'm very slow when it comes to leveling, but at least I was there to see the changes in Vana'diel from since I've started.



In celebration, I've created a complementary FFXI journal where I'll put some miscellaneous stuff pertaining to the game (Like crafting logs & travel tips, for example.). I'll still be posting some major experiences of mine in here. (Damn, do I feel like a journal whore, making a journal for every single thing...)

Triple Besieged, all 3 beastmen armies attacked in the span of 1 evening. Currently on the last of the 3, versus the Mamool Ja Savages. Undead & Trolls went well.

Friday, I got the Spore Creature Creator. Curse Maxis & their highly fun customizable games. XD

So, they would like to see me bleed huh? Well, I might give them that ritual then.
